Sutton Rangers Red (away) Won 2-3

What a GREAT final game! Mepal gave our boys a tough time, a well-matched skill set, and kept the pressure up. That paid off with the opening goal going to Mepal. However the Eagles woke up and started piling on the pressure, and it was to Beau who started our score line with 2 goals in the first half putting us 2-1 up. In the second half, Amir added to our total, but then Mepal managed to get one past Nathan. However, our Eagles kept the ball busy and left them few chances to equalise. A final score of 3-2 closing out this season with a nail-biting win. A stunning but hard-won 5-2 win over Chatteris. The opposition were on their home turf and put up a great battle. Beau opened up the scoreline in the first quarter, with Amir following up with two goals to bring us to 3 before half time. Into the second half and Beau scored his second goal, followed by Jonah bringing the score up to 5. Chatteris worked hard and only managed to score two of their own, thanks to our defenders and great goalie. Overall, a great day out and a great result. Today the team all pulled together, with two fine goals from Jonah, and our defenders keeping losses to a minimum. Both of Jonah's goals were amazing, and everyone agreed he was Man Of The Match!! The team worked hard and kept the pressure up right to the last second. Our only allowed goal was from Teddy. There were plenty of good attempts but they either missed the bar or were called offside. A 2-1 defeat shows the luck of the day was not on our side. Our only goal was a penalty ably pocketed by Ben. Our defence put up a good fight but ultimately the larger country lads had the luck. The opposition coach and the referee were very impressed with our goalkeeper, Nathan, both in saving tricky goals and consistently delivering long kicks down the field. A fine 7-0 win against Milton Colts. Both teams played exceptionally good football and great sportsmanship, a pleasure to watch. Captain Owen started the goal collection in the first quarter, followed by David, Teddy and Ben, to bring the half-time score to 4-0. Come the second half and Teddy and Ben continued the score up to the final 7-0 result. Possibly the finest goal this match was from David - excellent shot! The official referee failed to turn up (Matthew and Dan stepping in - thanks!), a mysterious rogue ball scuppered a goal for us, one of the opposition players got sin-binned, another goal was disallowed (did it cross the line?) and the match ball went missing at the end of it all!! In the second half, Teddy and then Emmanuel (again) brought the game to a comfortable 5-0 win. Jonah opened the scoring this time, followed by Andreas, with Amir putting away two goals to bring the half-time score to 4-0. In the second half, Ben did sterling work scoring two more goals, with Amir finishing off the score with the final seventh goal. A thoroughly decent opposition team that made the boys work hard and gave them a good match. It was lovely to hear all the positive comments and encouragement between our players, and the opposition linesman even commented on what a good team they are. Well done boys!

25 November 2023: Saffron Walden Community Youth U12 Green (away) Won 0-8

The sun was clearly shining on us today. An 8-0 win against Saffron Walden Greens. They put up a good fight but unfortunately, this was a heavily uneven match. A good experience for the boys and we tried some different positions today. Amir dominated the first half scoring four goals. After half-time, Jonah and Beau continued the pace with a goal each and the final quarter saw Emmanuel and Beau (again) bring the score to eight. Defenders were equally good at keeping the opposition attackers busy and away from our goal.

18 November 2023: Trumpington U12 Archers (home) Won 2-0

Despite the risk of being rained off, the clouds parted and gave way to a nail-biting match against Trumpington. Clearly a stronger team than last week - they had no subs and managed to only concede two goals, both scored by Amir. They kept our boys busy and put up a good fight but we managed to pull out two goals giving us a 2-0 win.

11 November 2023: Littleport Rangers U12 Yellow (home) Won 6-1

What a match! A stunning and well-deserved 6-1 win this time. Captain Emmanuel opened the scoring, closely followed by Namir then Edward and Andreas each filling out the scorecard for the first half at 4-0. After half time we conceded one goal but soon bounced back with nifty work from Amir, and Jonah brought home the final sixth goal of the match. The opposition kept the pressure up and scored one goal but today was our day. It was also good to see both teams show respect at 10am for a minute's silence just before KO. Man of the Match this week is Ben. Well done team!!!!

4 November 2023: Manea United Strikers U12 (home) Won 4-1

What a great match! A comfortable 4-1 win against Manea in miserable weather. Ben opened in the first quarter, followed by Jonah, Teddy and Amir in the second quarter, leaving poor Beau in goal to do the crossword. The second half saw us concede one goal, while we kept the ball very close to the opposition goal for the remainder of the second half.

14 October 2023: Chatteris Town U12 Blue (home) Drew 2-2

Wow - what a real nail-biter that was! A 2-2 draw thanks to Beau's and Emmanuel's goals. The whole team was amazing, and to draw against the top team shows we're top material. It was disappointing not to win but we held our ground, kept the other side on their toes, and made them work for their two goals. Even the ref was biting his nails once Emmanuel's equaliser went in. Ben scored the opening goal and we kept them running around. We had some great chances at further goals but the ball seemed to have a magnetic attraction to the posts, scuppering further chances. They only scored the equaliser right at the end from a corner and a lucky header in the last minute. The height of the carousel. The carousel generally works best when using units that are
relative to the width of the screen. So, for example, a height of 35vw means that the height of the
carousel is 35% of the width of the screen. This gives a constant aspect ratio of 10:3.5.

Visibility
Usually, the display of member data is subject to the logged-in user having specific entitlements to view that data. By default,
this component will respect those entitlements and only show data that the user is allowed to see. However, in certain circumstances,
you may wish to remove these restrictions and, instead, rely on the permissions required to view the CMS page itself.
For example, when creating a "Meet the Committee" page, for viewing by members, you will probably need to disable the member data entitlements as
members would not normally have permission to view the personal details of committee members.
the usual member visibility restrictions WILL be applied.
The displayed list of members will be limited to those who the logged in user has permission to see.
Important: the usual member visibility restrictions WILL NOT be applied.
All of the members in the list will be displayed, regardless of the logged in user's permissions. Please ensure that the CMS space
has appropriate restrictions applied.
the usual member data visibility restrictions WILL be applied.
In addition, for contact details, only those that have been explicitly shared by the member will be visible; even if the viewing
member has elevated permissions.
